It’s hard to believe that this is my final post for LIS 724. For this assignment, we had to curate resources, projects and tech tools that we found useful to us throughout the course. I chose to create this curation with Padlet, as I really enjoyed using it for my initial curation project. I chose to include my favorite assignments in this course, as I will want easy access to them as I work on my e-portfolio this fall. My graduation will be in December and I feel like this assignment made it easy to house those important projects that I can use to show my growth in the standards.
Below this group, I added a tab for tech tools that I found useful, or tools that I hope to go back to and try out. There was an overabundance of tools available, so I wanted to keep the links to Mariela’s curation pages, as I really did not have the time to look into all of what was available. The one tool I loved that I did not include in the Padlet, was Padlet itself. I felt like that would be strange to link to the tool I was already using.
Finally, I have a group of articles and resources that were provided throughout the course. These were articles and resources that I found valuable and thought that I would refer back to later. I liked the LibGuides that were available through the Downer’s Grove North tech tools. I’m always looking for good tutorials. Maybe I should curate a grouping of great tutorials next!
This was one of my favorite courses because I felt like all of the projects and assignments were useful and I could see myself using them in the future. I have an interview for a full time position at my library as an Adult Programming Librarian tomorrow, if I do get the job, I know a lot these tools and what I have learned in this course will be very useful. It will be convenient to have this curation Padlet of resources and my old project in one place, where I can refer back to them as I need them.
